Night Traveler

Where do you go my lovely one

when you close your eyes in sleep

Do you travel the care worn highway

or float on oceans deep

Do you fly through a midnight starlit sky

or climb o'er mountain's top

Do you wander the silent streets of a town

and gaze in at all of the shops

Do you wish for a brighter happier day

or sulk in the bitterest dark

Do you run on a beach so far away

or circle a path in a park

Let me come with you once in a dream

I'll show you another side

For nothing in life is as it seems

and our dreams give us places to hide.
